Rice Football is well represented on 2022 NFL rosters. Here’s the latest from the NFL Owls in action in Week 10.

There are former Rice football players scattered across the NFL. Stay tuned each week for their game results and notables from each player.

Offense

Calvin Anderson – OT, Broncos

Anderson started his second straight game this weekend and the third of the season

Kylen Gransen – TE, Colts

Gransen tied a season-high with four receptions on Sunday, racking up 57 yards to aid the Colts’ win over the Raiders.

Nick Leverett – OT, Buccaneers

Leverett made his third consecutive start of the season on Sunday, this time playing against fellow Rice football alum Myles Adams.

Defense

Myles Adams – DL, Seahawks

Adams was active this week and registered one tackle while playing special teams and defensive snaps. He lined up on the other side of the line from fellow Rice football alum Nick Leverett.

Bryce Callahan – CB, Chargers

Callahan had a quiet week on the stat sheet, accounting for one tackle in the Chargers’ loss to the 49ers.

Christian Covington – DL, Chargers

Covington had a season-high five tackles in the Chargers’ loss to the 49ers.

Special Teams

Jack Fox – P, Lions

Fox punted four times in the Lions’ win over the Bears on Sunday, including al booming 59 yarder.

Chris Boswell – K, Steelers

The Steelers placed Boswell on IR prior to their Week 10 game against the Saints. He’ll be out for at least the next four weeks.

Kylen Gransen – TE, Colts

Gransen was targeted once on Sunday but did not record a catch. He did, however, tally his first rush attempt of the season, which went for zero yards.

Nick Leverett – OT, Buccaneers

Leverett earned his second start of the season on Sunday, playing every offensive snap and his usual special teams duties.

Defense

Myles Adams – DL, Seahawks

Adams was inactive this week for the Seahawks’ game against the Cardinals.

Bryce Callahan – CB, Chargers

The Chargers were on bye this week.

Christian Covington – DL, Chargers

The Chargers were on bye this week.

Special Teams

Jack Fox – P, Lions

Fox punted three times in the Lions’ win over the Packers on Sunday, including al long of 47 yards and one inside the 20. He also added one tackle.

Chris Boswell – K, Steelers

The Steelers were on bye this week.

Anderson got his second start of the season this week, playing every offensive snap for the first time this season. The Broncos are 1-0 when he plays every down on offense.

Kylen Gransen – TE, Colts

Gransen was targeted three times on Sunday, catching all three passes for 11 yards. He’s caught at least one pass in each of the Colts’ eight games this year.

Nick Leverett – OT, Buccaneers

After getting in the game last week against the Panthers, Leverett earned his first start of the season against the Ravens, playing every offensive snap.

Defense

Myles Adams – DL, Seahawks

Adams was inactive this week for the Seahawks’ game against the Giants.

Bryce Callahan – CB, Chargers

The Chargers were on bye this week.

Christian Covington – DL, Chargers

The Chargers were on bye this week.

Special Teams

Jack Fox – P, Lions

Fox was only called upon twice on Sunday, booming two monster kicks. His longest blast went 60 yards while the short of the two only traveled 55 yards down the field.

Chris Boswell – K, Steelers

Boswell was ruled out for the Steelers’ Week 8  game with a groin injury and did not play.

Calvin Anderson – OT, Broncos

Anderson did not get the start this week, but was part of the rotation along the Broncos offensive line against the Jets. He played 20 percent of the offensive snaps, his second highest amount this season.

Kylen Gransen – TE, Colts

Gransen caught his only target on Sunday against the Titans, hauling in a six-yard reception.

Nick Leverett – OT, Buccaneers

Leverett saw his most extensive usage of the season this past weekend, playing 20 snaps in the Bucs’ Week 7 game against the Panthers. It was his first action with the offense this year.

Defense

Myles Adams – DL, Seahawks

Adams was active but didn’t record any tackles in the Seahawks ‘ Week 7 win over the Chargers.

Bryce Callahan – CB, Chargers

Callahan made two tackles in the Chargers’ loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. He’s up to 19 tackles on the season.

Christian Covington – DL, Chargers

Covington was inactive again on Sunday for the Chargers’ matchup with the Seahawks. He’s been back and forth between activations since being signed to the active roster earlier this season.

Special Teams

Jack Fox – P, Lions

While Fox and the Lions were on bye last week, Fox was rewarded with a brand new contract, making him the NFL’s highest-paid punter. Fox delivered on Sunday with three punts, including a long of 54 yards.

Boswell had a relatively quiet weekend, converting his lone field goal attempt from 45 yards, also knocking through his only extra point attempt.

Anderson got the start at left tackle for the Broncos on Monday Night Football and split snaps with Cam Fleming. It was Anderson’s first start of the season.

Kylen Gransen – TE, Colts

Gransen tied a career-high with four catches in the Colts’ Week 6 win over the Jaguars. He tallied 38 yards and added one tackle in the game.

Nick Leverett – OT, Buccaneers

Leverett was active but did not play this week, a recurring pattern for the Bucs’ next-man-up on the offensive line.

Defense

Myles Adams – DL, Seahawks

Adams saw an uptick in production this week, posting a career-best three tackles in the Seahawks’ Week 6 win over the Cardinals.

Bryce Callahan – CB, Chargers

Callahan made three tackles in the Chargers’ Monday Night Football win over the Broncos, one of which was a tackle for a loss.

Christian Covington – DL, Chargers

After being active the week prior, Covington was inactive for the Chargers’ Monday Night Football game against the Broncos. He’s been back and forth between activations since being signed to the active roster earlier this season.

Special Teams

Jack Fox – P, Lions

Fox and the Lions were on bye this week.

Chris Boswell – K, Steelers

Boswell was perfect from the field against the Bucs on Sunday, connecting on two field goals (including a long of 55 yards) as well as a pair of extra points.
