Offense

Calvin Anderson – OL, Steelers*

Anderson was active but did not play in the Steelers’ Week 1 game against the Jets.

Luke McCaffrey – WR, Commanders*

McCaffrey saw a handful of snaps with the Commanders’ offense on Sunday, primarily contributing via special teams. He had a 36 yard kick return in a winning effort against the Giants.

Kylen Granson – TE, Eagles

Granson caught one pass for one yard in his Eagles debut. He also played a core role on special teams, making one tackle in that phase.

Special Teams

Jack Fox – P, Lions

Fox punted three times in the Lions’ Week 1 loss to the Packers, averaging a healthy 47.3 yards per kick with a long of 55 yards.

Chris Boswell – K, Steelers

Boswell turned in a stellar performance in the season opener, connecting on all four extra point attempts and a 56-yard field goal attempt at the beginning of the second quarter. Then he one-upped himself with a career-best 60-yard conversion which would prove to be the game-deciding kick. He’s made 2-of-2 field goals this season.

Special Teams

Jack Fox – P, Lions

Fox punted just one time in the Lions’ Divisional Round loss to the Commanders, booting the ball 43 yards. That caps off a historical season and young career for Fox, who currently ranks first place all time in league history (min. 250 attempts) in net putting average, averaging 43.2 yards per punt.

His 51.0 gross yards per punt averaged this year was the sixth best single season mark in NFL history, just below his 2024 NFL-record setting 46.2 net yards per punt average.

Fox is creeping up the record books with his arm, too. He’s already completed five passes for 61 yards, 20 yards short of the all-time league record for passing yards by a punter, set by Tom Skladany.

Chris Boswell – K, Steelers

Boswell did not attempt a field goal in the postseason, converting both of his extra point attempts in the Steelers’ Wild Card Round playoff loss to the Ravens. He finished the regular season 41-of-44 on field goals.

Offense

Calvin Anderson – OL, Steelers

Anderson saw his most extensive usage of the season in the Steelers’ Wild Card Round playoff loss to the Ravens, playing in 63 percent of offensive snaps. His previous regular season high was 13 percent of snaps, set in Week 6 against the Raiders.

Luke McCaffrey – WR, Commanders

McCaffrey has two NFL Playoff wins under his belt in his first season in the league, seeing action with the offense although he did not record any receptions. He had two kickoff returns in the teams’ Wild Card Round victory over the Bucs.

Defense

Myles Adams – DL, Seahawks and Lions

Adams saw action with the Lions’ defense in their Divisional Round loss to the Commanders, playing nine snaps.

Special Teams

Jack Fox – P, Lions

Fox and Boswell were both selected to the NFL Pro Bowl this offseason, marking the first time Rice football has had multiple players selected for the Pro Bowl since 1961.

As for Fox, he punted 45 times for 2,295 yards, an a staggering average of 51 total yards and 46.2 net yards per punt, second and first in the league in those marks, respectively. He also converted a fake punt this season, throwing for 17 yards on the pass.

Chris Boswell – K, Steelers

Boswell went 41-of-44 on field goals this season, leading the league in scoring and tying for the fifth most points by a kicker in league history. He was three made field goals shy of the NFL record for field goals in a season (44) set by David Akers in 2011. Boswell’s only misses this season came from 62 yards, 58 yards and a blocked 42 yard try.

Offense

Calvin Anderson – OL, Steelers

Anderson played a reserve role for the Steelers this season. After joining the team in Week 4 he was active for every remaining contest, seeing action in four games.

Nick Leverett – OL, Patriots and Cardinals

Leverett began the season with the Patriots and saw action in each of the team’s first five games before being released. He was subsequently signed the the Cardinals practice squad before being elevated to the active roster and making his Arizona debut in their regular season finale against the 49ers.

Luke McCaffrey – WR, Commanders

A third round pick by the Commanders in the 2024 NFL Draft, McCaffrey caught 18 passes for 168 yards during the regular season. He also made an impact on special teams, returning 10 kickoffs for 299 all purposes yards.

Austin Trammell – WR, Jaguars

Trammell signed to the Jaguars practice squad this offseason and was promoted briefly to the active roster in November where he was immediately pressed into action. He caught two of three passes thrown his way against the Eagles that week before reverting back to the practice squad where he finished the season.

Kylen Granson – TE, Colts

In his fourth season with the Colts, Granson made six starts, catching 14 passes for 182 yards and playing in all 17 games.

Defense

Myles Adams – DL, Seahawks and Lions

Adams began the season with the Seahawks, playing in three games before he was waived in November. He immediately signed with the Lions and was elevated to the active roster, playing in four of the Lions’ final five games of the season and registering his first sack of the season.

Elijah Garcia – DL, Giants

Garcia made his 2024 debut with the Giants in Week 13 shortly after being elevated from the practice squad. He played in the final five games of the season, making three starts and recovering this game-sealing fourth quarter fumble to secure a win over the Colts. He finished the year with 14 tackles.

Calvin Anderson – OL, Steelers

Anderson was active but did not see action in the Steelers’ game against the Ravens this week.

Luke McCaffrey – WR, Commanders

McCaffrey played a crucial role in the Commanders’ upset of the Eagles on Sunday, racking up 197 all-purpose yards between one 13-yard reception and six kick returns for 184 yards, including a long return of 47 yards, showcasing his explosiveness.

Kylen Granson – TE, Colts

It was a quiet day for the Colts’ receiving room on Sunday. Quarterback Anthony Richardson only attempted 11 passes while the team ran the ball 50 times. Granson did not get any of the teams’ seven completions.

Defense

Myles Adams – DL, Lions

Adams played on two defensive snaps for the Lions this week but did not record any tackles.

Special Teams

Jack Fox – P, Lions

Fox was only asked to punt one time in the Lions’ win over the Bears on Sunday, booting his lone try 47 yards.

Chris Boswell – K, Steelers

Boswell went 1-for-1 on field goals against the Ravens on Saturday, a singular long blast from 51 yards. He also connected on a pair of extra-point attempts. He’s made 39-of-42 field goals this season
