The Roost Podcast | Ep. 241 – Defensive Masterclass Not Enough as Rice Football Falls to UTSA

Rice Football held UTSA to 16 points, but couldn’t overcome gaps on offense and special teams in a two-point loss at home.

Once more a double-digit underdog, Rice football took a team to the wire before coming up just short. The offense couldn’t capitalize on their late fourth quarter drives as the Owls dropped their first game at the newly named First Community Stadium on Saturday night. Carter and Matthew dug into every facet of the loss, detailing what adjustments could (should?) be made and what the Owls’ are going to have to figure out before next Saturday’s game against East Carolina.

We talked through it all. You can find previous episodes on the podcast page. For now, give a listen to Episode 241.
