The Rice football offense was under the most scrutiny last season as the Owls installed their new gun-choice scheme, but that wasn’t the only side of the ball to show growth in head coach Scott Abell’s first year on campus. Special teams was a strength for the program last fall and looks well positioned to continue that success in 2026.
