Rice Football Recruiting: CB Jacob Lee commits to Owls

The 2027 Rice Football Recruiting has its first defensive pledge in the fold. Cy Ranch cornerback Jacob Lee has committed to the Owls.

The first four commitments of the 2027 Rice Football recruiting class were all on the offensive side of the ball, but the Owls remained diligent in their efforts to land impact players on defense, too. They have one now. Cy ranch corner Jacob Lee has committed to the Owls.

The Owls extended an offer to Lee back in March, but it was a late-May visit that seemed to have pushed things over the top. Not long after coming to South Main for an official visit, Lee made his pledge, choosing Rice over offers from Baylor, Duke, Virginia Tech, Texas State, Louisiana, and others.

Lee is the fifth member of the class so far, which will grow further from here. For now, he’s the lone defender, joining quarterback commit Viktor Lachambre, as well as wide receiver Brody Diel, offensive lineman Jackson Koeppel and offensive lineman Jackson Hooker.
