The first spring under Rice football head coach Scott Abell was about introductions with players experiencing the Owls’ new coach and new system for the first time. This time around, expectations tick upward as returning players and staff hope to accelerate that growth and assimilate a host of new athletes into the offensive and defensive schemes.
There’s a lot to keep track of over the next few weeks, but here are five items in particular we’ll be keeping an eye on as Rice football takes the field for spring practices.
