Rice football treats its offensive line position in ways that are unique to the rest of the sport. Who plays on any given Saturday and when they enter and exit the game comes with its own wrinkles. The coaching staff believes it gives them an edge during the grind of a game and, by extension, the grind of the season. At a minimum, it means more names to known in the offensive trenches before the season arrives.
