It's a completely brand new corner room for Rice football this fall, with a host of Transfer Portal additions brought in to revamp a position that lagged at times a season ago. Rebuilding through the portal comes with its challenges, but there's no doubt a reboot was needed. Did the Owls do enough to turn this unit into a reliable component of the Owls' defense? That remains to be seen.
