Much was said at the American Conference Media Days in Tampa, FL, this week. All 14 coaches had their turn at the podium, and interesting snippets were shared there, as well as off-mic in more casual settings. Steve Helwick, the managing editor at Underdog Dynasty, joined the show to talk through the most interesting storylines from the week and talk through our expectations for the league this coming season.

American Conference Media Days Review
- Navy: The preseason favorite, but not a slam dunk selection
- Memphis: Charles Huff, the self-appointed “Lane Kiffin of the Group of 5” and the Tigers’ outlook
- UTSA: Could the Roadrunners be a darkhorse title contender?
- Tulane: A reformed Will Hall and some optimism for the Green Wave
- South Florida: Brian Hartline had a lot to say, but this team still feels relatively unknown
- East Carolina: Is it time to buy stock in Blake Harrell before the Pirates really take off?
- Army: The Pirates could take a big step under returning quarterback Cale Hellums
- Florida Atlantic: The offense will be fun, but the defense has question marks, again
- North Texas: Another reboot that’s hard to forecast. It could be good? Just not a 2025 repeat
- Temple: K.C. Keeler has big expectations, but quarterback is a potential area for concern
- Tulsa: The team will be better; the record might not
- Rice: Jacurri Brown and the offense will be fun to watch
- UAB: Ryder Burton and the offense could make this team more competitive than many expect
- Charlotte: The 49ers are finally healthy after an injury-plagued debut for Tim Albin
