For those who follow betting lines, Southern Miss opened as a 3-point favorite, but I've seen some lines slide all the way to Rice a 1.5-point favorite.
Enechuikwu to start over Schuman today at defensive end. Schuman a bit nicked up, but still expected to play. Doesn't sound like we'll see either Nyakwol or Smith back today.
Southern Miss wins the toss and they will receive. Looks like Jack Abraham will be back Tate Whatley is out for Southern Miss at QB.
A few surprises: no Treshawn Chamberlain or Kirk Lockhart today. Neither guy made the trip. The young secondary is getting younger.
Ugh. Pass is dropped on third down and Rice will line up for a field goal. Prior to that, Rice had picked up four consecutive first downs on four plays.
Wonderful drive stalls out after three straight hollow plays from inside the five yard live. But, Rice takes the lead.
